Mr. Brenden Holland, PhD
Assistant Professor, Center for Conservation Research & Training, University of Hawai'i, Manoa. Dr. Holland holds MS and doctoral degrees from Texas A&M University, and a Bachelor's degree from the University of California, San Diego. His research focuses on the biodiversity and biogeography of islands, both in the terrestrial as well as marine realms. Although much of his work involves threatened Hawaiian species, Dr. Holland has projects and interest in a number of Pacific Archipelagos, including the Marquesas, the Society Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, and Palau. One area of expertise is conservation of island tree snails, and he oversees a captive breeding program for these endangered species, and is principal investigator of the Hawaiian Tree Snail Conservation Lab at the University of Hawaii.
