Archeology, Universidad de Chile and Paris. She was the Director of the Archeology Department in Tahiti between 1968 and 2000. At the same time between 1979 and 2000 she was also the Director of the Centre Polynesien de Sciences Humaines; responsible for the Inventory of
Archeological sites in French Polynesia, which covers the research and
public exposure of sites such as: ceremonial site of Tautapuatea in Raiatea, village and ceremonial sites of the Papenoo’s Vallley in Tahiti, sites of Taaoa and Oipona at Hiva Oa in the Marquesas Islands, Marae Mauna Oto and Pua Pua Tiare at Raivavae in the Austral Islands, and Marae Ta’ata in Tahiti. Her writings include reports and prospection of inventory, excavation and renovation of many sites in French Polynesia.
